Parks and Recreation Cast – What Else Are They Doing?
*Spoiler Alert* It’s official: on last Thursday’s episode, Parks and Recreation Ben and Leslie get engaged.
For those of you who watch the ferociously funny ‘Parks and Recreation’ on NBC, you probably saw that on last Thursday’s episode, Ben (played by Adam Scott) finally proposed to his girlfriend and the show’s main character, Leslie Knope (the indomitable Amy Poehler) in an emotional scene, which the show does so well. What does this mean for the plot? Well, Ben was offered a job working in Florida, but only the future will see whether he takes it or decides to stay in the small town with his new fiancee. While Ben proved his talent working in Washington, the show’s creators decided that the best way to have him return to Pawnee and to the regular cast of characters was to return for Leslie.
The episodes with Ben and April Ludgate (Aubrey Plaza) in Washington were great, but it will be satisfying to see them home at last. So what else is going on with the other characters left behind in Pawnee? Well, Ron Swanson (Nick Offerman) is trying to learn how to deal with the two daughters his most recent love interest has. Tom (Aziz Ansari) has come up with yet another business plan, this one possibly more clever than his previous attempts.

The hysterical Aubrey Plaza (April Ludgate on P&R) plays ‘Darius’ in the new film Safety Not Guaranteed. From the same producers as Little Miss Sunshine, the film follows three magazine employees as they head out on a mission to interview a man who placed an ad looking for a time-travel companion. She is also in four other films either currently filming or in post-production: A Many-Splintered Thing, The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman, The To-Do List, and A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III.
Nick Offerman, aka Ron Swanson, has become a pop culture phenomenon. But outside of the mustache and Ron Swanson’s Pyramid of Greatness, what has Offerman been doing? Like Plaza, his name appears in multiple films currently in post-production. We’re the Millers, In a World…, Toy’s House, and Gay Dude are set to be released either at the end of this year or sometime next year.
Amy Poehler of SNL fame of course always has several projects going on. She’s currently working on the film They Came Together, co-starring with Paul Rudd.
