3 Winter Travel Destinations For Christmas Break

You want to travel, but you only have a limited amount of time and a limited budget. And it’s almost winter – who travels in winter? Where can you go?  These three winter travel destinations are great year-round, but become even more special in the winter. They are locations you can get to over Christmas break and enjoy a few relaxing days away from the usual holiday chaos.

 Winter Travel Destinations

Winter Travel Destination #1 – France

Offering great winter travel deals at the moment, you can currently book a flight + hotel to Paris for absurdly low rates.  Some Christmas break specials go on sale on the day after Thanksgiving, so instead of Black Friday shopping in the cold, spend the day on the computer picking up a deal to France instead. Way better than a cheap laptop, France really comes into its own in the winter, with delectable Christmas markets, holiday decoration, fewer tourists, and a festive atmosphere.

Winter Travel Destination #2 – Boston, Massachusetts

Incredibly, travel to Boston is becoming more inexpensive as time goes on. The reason? Budget airline Jet Blue is now using Boston as a secondary hub, making travel there cheaper and more convenient than ever.  With a place so seeped in American history, it should be no problem to convince your professors to give you a few extra days off for Christmas break to explore this city.

Winter Travel Destination #3 – Costa Rica

And to finish the list, a tropical holiday destination.  Costa Rica is a great choice for warmth-seekers, as it’s relatively close, easy to get to and travel in, and very inexpensive.  And as air carriers have been increasing routes to Latin America in recent years, prices on flights have continued to decrease. Who can resist the allure of a winter in the balmy 70s, sitting on a beach while sipping cocktails?
